Project Director
Jeanne Meyer has been with Upward Bound for over 10 years. After working as the Coordinator of Academic Services, she now guides the project towards meeting the objectives outlined in the grant proposal and complying with U.S. Department of Education guidelines. Jeanne is originally from Davenport and is a first-generation college graduate. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed a Master of Arts in Art History at The University of Iowa. She has finished her Doctorate of Philosophy coursework in Art History as well.
Jeanne has taught middle school, high school, and college students and firmly believes in the importance of a college education.
In her spare time, you'll find Jeanne in her garden with her beagle Glory. If it rains or gets dark outside, it's movies, reading, and hanging out with friends.
